Out of passion for what we do, we have been running the Café & Bistro Harzkristall at the Harzkristall glass manufactory in Derenburg since June 4, 2021. Our experienced team ensures that your visit is an experience. Fresh, regional products and a cozy, modern furnishing concept ensure relaxed moments in a unique atmosphere.
Our team around restaurant manager Janique and head chef Sebastian consists of experienced gastronomy experts and will cater to your every wish for coffee, cakes and snacks and prepare an incomparable stay for you.
How we do it.
We primarily use regional products sourced from local producers. Our long-standing partners supply us with fresh ingredients. If something is “out of stock,” it’s not a sign of poor planning, but rather a reflection of our commitment to sustainability. Nothing is thrown away unnecessarily here. Janique has been managing the Café & Bistro Harzkristall since it opened on June 4, 2021. With a wealth of experience in hotel gastronomy, she moved from our partner hotel
HKK Hotel Wernigerode **** in our café.
Janique always has an open ear for your wishes, inquiries and reservations. She is the right contact person for the planning and organization of everything that has to do with more than just coffee and cake.
Sebastian, head chef
Sebastian has also been on board since June 4, 2021 and manages our kitchen at Café & Bistro Harzkristall. After working for many years in various positions in the kitchen of the
HKK Hotel Wernigerode ****, he worked in a restaurant right in the center of Wernigerode before offering us his cooking skills.
